Core Function Summary

The Click Forensics for Ad Networks and Publishers product offers value in the following 4 areas:

  1. Downstream publisher and affiliate management
  2. SEM traffic acquisition management
  3. Upstream advertiser management
  4. Upstream feed and TQ score management

It is delivered as a hosted service and provides various methods of integration. Customers choose which areas are important to them. For example, one customer might require only downstream publisher management while another might purchase traffic directly via SEM and also need to ensure a healthy relationship with direct advertisers.

For incoming traffic, the system scores clicks from publishers, affiliates and SEM campaigns that drive traffic to the site. The ClickScores allow ad networks and publishers to understand the quality of incoming traffic and make business decisions throughout the day.

Outgoing clicks to advertisers or upstream feeds can be scored as well to control quality traffic. This information can be used for billing decisions (e.g. determine which clicks advertisers should be charged for) and for filtering traffic to ensure ongoing access to ad "feeds" (e.g. ensure minimum quality).
