Paul Pellman

Chief Executive Officer

A seasoned and experienced sales and marketing operations leader, Paul Pellman was introduced to Click Forensics through Austin Ventures, one of Click Forensics' investors, where he served as Entrepreneur in Residence. Prior to joining Click Forensics in March 2008, he was executive vice president of Marketing for Hoover's, where he was responsible for the leadership of the company's brand development and marketing initiatives, including customer acquisition and retention, research, strategy, product positioning, licensing, traffic-oriented business development and marketing communications. Paul also served as Interim President of Hoover's from November 2006 through June 2007. Before joining Hoover's, he was vice president of Consumer Direct for global internet group Terra Lycos. Paul has served in a number of executive management roles, including CEO for two early stage start-ups. Paul began his career as a senior consultant with a Big Eight accounting firm and holds a B.S. in accounting and finance from the University of Arizona and an MBA from Harvard University.


Tom Cuthbert

President and Founder

Tom Cuthbert is one of the leading industry voices in the battle against pay-per-click advertising fraud. He developed the Click Fraud Network™, the first and largest service of its kind that advertisers use to monitor online advertising campaigns for click fraud. It's also the first service to report accurate monthly and quarterly data on the overall industry-wide click fraud threat level.

Tom has spoken on the topics of pay-per-click advertising and click fraud at top industry events, including ad:tech and the Search Engine Strategies conference. He has also appeared as a click fraud industry expert on CNBC and Bloomberg television. Tom is frequently tapped by leading newspapers and magazines and his views on click fraud have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, Red Herring, Financial Times and Associated Press.

As a key member of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Click Measurement Working Group, Tom is working with Google, Yahoo!, Microsoft and top advertisers to develop the industry's first click fraud measurement standards. He also founded the Click Quality Council, which represents more than 40 leading advertisers who work together to provide advertiser input into the development of industry click quality measurement standards.

In his current role as president of Click Forensics, Tom is responsible for all facets of operations, product development and marketing for the online advertising industry's #1 click fraud monitoring and data reporting service. He previously co-founded OPTIMAL iQ and led the growth of the firm as a recognized provider of web analytics services to Fortune 1000 companies. Tom was also involved in the retail and entertainment business, including serving ten years as a senior executive with a national restaurant chain.

Tom has a love for basketball and works with several NBA players in marketing charitable events. He attended Texas Tech University and resides in San Antonio with his family.


Peter Norwood

Chief Operating Officer

A seasoned industry executive, Mr. Norwood most recently served as senior vice president of products and services at WholeSecurity, a company that was focused on detecting Crimeware and online fraud and which was acquired by Symantec in 2005. There he managed and oversaw all aspects of product research and development including support, services and operations.

Before joining WholeSecurity, Mr. Norwood was a venture partner at TL Ventures in Austin, Texas, where he performed due diligence, led funding activities and sat on the board of directors for several early-stage software companies.

He previously served as chief executive officer of Reliant Data Systems and as vice president of development for Tivoli Systems. Mr. Norwood also managed software development for fault tolerant UNIX computers at Tandem and started his career at Bell Laboratories.


Tom Charvet

Founder

With multiple certifications, Tom Charvet has a wide base of knowledge in application development, infrastructure and analytics. He has experience working with the Department of Defense as well as over ten years of IT experience. One of his major accomplishments has been the development of the TViQ™ media measurement software system. Launched in 2004, TViQ seamlessly integrates Nielsen data with broadcast spot times to provide media buyers weekly updates on audience delivery. He understands broadcast standards and reporting integration at the highest level.

Tom joined the firm in early 2002. His team is dedicated to working with online publishers such as Nature Publishing and the American Institute of Physics and they have worked closely with Project COUNTER, an international reporting standards organization based in the UK. Tom led the team that developed the Click Forensics algorithm and reporting engine. He oversees the Austin based datacenter as well as all infrastructure and development staff.

Tom is a San Antonio native and holds a degree from the University of the Incarnate Word. He enjoys freshwater fishing and boating.


Luca Loiodice

Vice President, Development

Luca Loiodice was previously an architect at Symantec Corp. where he designed and implemented the industry's first anti-phishing detection product featuring statistical models such as stochastic N-gram models, Levenshtein similarity metrics and Bayesian scoring. That product is used by the eBay toolbar as well as by Symantec's flagship Norton Internet Security and Norton Confidential products–all of which protect millions of online users every day from phishing attacks.

Before joining Symantec, Mr. Loiodice was a founder of iStillo where he developed an information security application providing policy-based scanning and filtering of e-mail, to protect organizations against spam attacks and loss of confidential information. He also worked at IBM and Tivoli where he was a technical architect. Mr. Loiodice holds numerous patents on the behavioral detection of online threats.


Lori Weiman

Vice President, Product Management

A recognized industry expert in the field of bid management and click quality, Ms. Weiman is a frequent speaker and educator on paid search topics, including click fraud and best practices for developing and managing paid search campaigns. She most recently served as the business unit leader for KeywordMax, a leading pay-perclick bid management service that she launched in 2003 as a division of Direct Response Technologies, Inc. There Ms. Weiman was responsible for operations, including product development, sales, marketing and customer support. In 2006, KeywordMax was acquired by Digital River, Inc.

Before KeywordMax, Ms. Weiman co-founded a social networking software company that was acquired in 2002. She also served as the director of business development for Food.com, where she led advertising, partnership and licensing initiatives. Previously Ms. Weiman pioneered the development of digital cable television products as an executive with Time Warner Cable’s Full Service Network project in Orlando, Florida. She holds an undergraduate degree in finance from Emory University and is an attorney licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and Maryland.


Scott Carlton

Vice President of Client Services and Operations

As Vice President of Client Services and Operations, Mr. Carlton is in charge of the company's Client Services group as well as Operations and IT. Mr. Carlton brings 24 years of experience in Information Technology and Operations with deep experience in Application Systems design. He joined Click Forensics from Symantec Corporation where he ran the Anti-Phishing environments that supported millions of Norton Internet Security 2007 users and Norton 360 customers. Mr. Carton held a variety of senior management positions in IT & Client Services at companies such as WholeSecurity, Broad Jump, Per-Se Technology and BSG Consulting.


Steve O'Brien

Vice President of Marketing

Steve O'Brien brings to Click Forensics over 20 years of marketing and sales experience in the technology industry. Most recently Steve served as VP, sales & marketing for Internet Solutions at Unica Corporation, where he helped establish Unica as a leader in the Web analytics market. Prior to that he served as VP sales & marketing at Fireclick, a pioneer in the Web analytics space acquired by Digital River, Inc. in 2004.

Earlier in his career Steve directed business development and product marketing at Red Brick Systems, launching several successful enterprise software platforms to support Red Brick's successful IPO in 1996. He also spent several years in product management and market development roles at Sun Microsystems and remains a devoted Scott McNealy fan.

Steve holds an MBA from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University and a B.S. in Operations Research & Industrial Engineering from Cornell University.


Dave Ceprano

Chief Product Architect

As Chief Product Architect, Mr. Ceprano is responsible for overall product architecture for Click Forensics' suite of products. Prior to joining Click Forensics, Mr. Ceprano was one of the founders and the COO of Sane Solutions. Sane Solutions was the developer of the NetTracker line of web analytics products and an early pioneer in web analytics. As a founder at Sane Solutions, Mr. Ceprano was involved in all aspects of Product Development from software development to implementations at Fortune 500 clients. Before founding Sane Solutions David was Director of Research and Development for the RESPONSE of HCIA where he was one of the principal architects of the division's flagship product.


Vincent Granville

Chief Scientist

Dr. Vincent Granville has successfully solved problems for 15 years in data mining, text mining, predictive modeling, business intelligence, keyword optimization, and web analytics. Vincent is widely recognized as the leading expert in click scoring and web traffic optimization. Over the last ten years, he has worked in real-time credit card fraud detection with Visa, advertising mix optimization with CNET, A/B testing with LowerMyBills, online user experience with Wells Fargo, query intelligence with InfoSpace, and click fraud detection with major search engines and large advertising clients.

Vincent was formerly Chief Science Officer at Authenticlick where he developed advanced web analytics applications. He has launched numerous statistically oriented websites including DataShaping.com, AnalyticBridge.com, and AnalyticTalent.com. Vincent is a former post-doctorate of Cambridge University and worked with the National Institute of Statistical Science at University of North Carolina. He was among the finalists at the Wharton School Business Plan Competition and at the Belgian Mathematical Olympiads.
