Brett Hurt

Brett is the Founder and CEO of Bazaarvoice, where he is responsible for guiding the company's strategy and overseeing day-to-day operations. Brett is a seasoned executive and is widely recognized throughout the online industry for turning groundbreaking ideas into leading businesses.

Mr. Hurt has extensive experience in the online marketing arena, especially as it pertains to the eCommerce industry. He founded Coremetrics in February 1999 after spending 10 years developing Internet-based software. Brett helped grow Coremetrics into the leading marketing analytics solution for the eCommerce industry, servicing more than 600 clients. Forrester Research eventually rated Coremetrics #1 in the industry.

Prior to Coremetrics, Mr. Hurt was the founder and CEO of Hurt Technology Consulting and BodyMatrix, an online retailer of sports nutrition products. Before that, he was a consultant at Deloitte Consulting and Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). Mr. Hurt has more than 15 years of Internet programming experience and has developed multiple software applications, including Internet marketing analysis solutions, eCommerce platforms, Web-based classroom management applications, virtual communities, multiplayer online games, and Bulletin Board System (BBS) software.


Morris Miller

Morris Miller formed Sequel Ventures, LLC (Sequel) in 2005. Sequel invests in and acts as advisor to numerous startup and established technology companies.

Prior to founding Sequel, Mr. Miller co-founded Rackspace Managed Hosting where he acted as Managing Director and Co-Chairman and helped build the company to over $150 million in revenue.

Previously, Miller formed a start-up company, Curtis Hill Publishing, a legal publishing firm that was the first to publish Texas case law on CD-ROM. Miller also held various positions at Matthews & Branscomb, which is now part of Cox, Smith & Matthews, San Antonio’s oldest and largest law firm.


Charles B. Wall

Charles (Chuck) Wall is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MarketPowerGroup, which he founded in 1998.

Prior to launching the company, Mr. Wall spent over 15 years in sales and station management for leading national broadcast companies including CBS, Time Warner and Belo Broadcasting.

Wall began working directly with large advertisers regarding the key issues of return-on-investment and profitable customer acquisition in 1991. At the time, traditional advertising and media agencies rarely dealt with the critical issues of combining strategy, efficiency and measurement to achieve better results. This ground-breaking work led directly to the formation of MarketPowerGroup. Over the past seven years, Wall and his team have worked with numerous leading national advertisers in improving the performance of their offline and online marketing efforts.


Matt Reedy

A recognized leader in San Antonio’s technology industry, Mr. Reedy brings decades of experience and a record of success with startups to Armida Technologies. In his previous roles, he has led and helped lead several companies to successful acquisitions and public offerings.

Prior to co-founding Armida, Reedy was co-founder and CEO of IntelliSolve Group Inc, a San Antoniobased data warehousing and business intelligence consulting firm that grew to $2.5 million in annual revenue and 15 employees. Prior to IntelliSolve, he was co-founder, chairman and chief technology officer of IQ Software Corporation, an Atlanta-based independent software vendor. Reedy designed and developed the company’s flagship query and reporting software product and headed product development from startup, through $13.5 million IPO in 1992, and through two acquisitions in 1995. IQ Software was subsequently acquired by Computer Associates in 2000.

Mr. Reedy has 25 years of experience in software development and technology management, and has previously served on the boards of the San Antonio Technology Accelerator Initiative (SATAI) and the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce.


Todd Smith

Todd Smith founded Tivoli Systems in 1990 and was the company's chief scientist responsible for creating the distributed architecture that evolved into the CORBA standard widely adopted within the industry today. Prior to Tivoli Systems, Mr. Smith worked at IBM where he focused on object-oriented systems, distributed architectures and a variety of other important technologies. He is the author of several key patents ranging from the Internet cookie to heuristic detection of phish sites.


William Wright

William Wright, Chief Scientist. William, a Ph.D. in cognitive science, is an artificial intelligence expert who has built numerous analytical and predictive systems over the past twenty years, including the Falcon Credit Card Fraud Detection System at HNC, the Advanced Fraud Screen system at CyberSource, and numerous adversarial modeling systems for the U.S. military.
